The Danish Centre for Biosecurity and Biopreparedness (CBB), Statens Serum Institut will as part of the Danish EU presidency in 2012 host a biosecurity workshop under the title:

European Biosecurity Workshop: Biothreat Prevention in Practice

• The workshop will take place in Copenhagen on the 11th and 12th of June 2012

• The workshop is free of charge

• Only a limited number of seats are available and will be subject to a prioritization to ensure representativity

• Registration deadline is May 21, 2012.

This workshop will address issues both relevant to countries that have yet to establish national biosecurity practices, and to nations that have implemented biosecurity and wish to discuss experiences for further development. The focus of the workshop will be relevant for both decision makers involved in establishing or improving biosecurity, as well as professionals working with biosecurity at a practical level. 

The workshop will include discussions, demonstrations, and a visit to a Danish polio vaccine production facility.
